2010 December Brotherhood Conversion Day - Archived Event

Where: Camp Kinglsey BSA, Ava, NY

When: December 5th, 2010 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Cost:

  • $25 for Brotherhood Candidates

 

What: Ga-hon-Ga lodge will be holding a brotherhood conversion day on December 5, 2010 at Camp Kingsley in Ava NY. This event is a great opportunity for ordeal members who have been in the lodge for 10 months or more and have not yet sealed their bonds of brotherhood to come and get your bars. We ask that you pre-register for this event by filling out this form
The requirements for brotherhood membership are listed below, make sure you are prepared completely and we hope to see you there!

Requirements:

  • You must have at least Ten months of Service as an Ordeal Member
  • You must be a registered member of a Boy Scout Troop or Varsity Team
  • You must be a registered Member of the Order of the Arrow You must also know the OA Obligation , OA Official Song, the Admonition, the sign Ordeal Membership, and the arrow clasp
  • You must have an understanding the ordeal and the induction principles
  • You must also write a letter to your Lodge Secretary, in which you must :
    • Explain what you think the Obligation means
    • Describe how you have been fulfilling this Obligation in your Troop or Team, and in your Daily Life.
    • Describe your specific plans for giving service in the lodge.
